SuperPro Bump Stop

SuperPro engineers and suspension specialists have completed extensive design, testing, and technical analysis of the Mitsubishi Triton, Challenger, and Pajero Sport platforms. A front droop stop kit can increase suspension droop and wheel travel on lifted vehicles. However, testing has shown that on most Mitsubishi 4WD models produced after 2009, excluding the ML Triton, combining a suspension lift with a droop stop kit may cause the original upper control arms to contact the front shock absorbers. This contact was observed in approximately 86% of tested vehicles and can result in repeated impact against the shock body. Over time, this may damage the shock absorber and, in severe cases, lead to complete shock failure. High failure rates have been recorded with Bilstein and other aftermarket shock absorbers. Formula shocks may experience less damage due to their construction, but contact with the original control arms may still occur. SuperPro does not recommend installing a front droop stop kit on a lifted post-2009 Mitsubishi 4WD that retains the original upper control arms. For increased droop and suspension travel, a SuperPro Upper Control Arm Kit should be installed. The SuperPro arms are designed to provide the necessary clearance, correct suspension geometry, and improve wheel alignment on lifted vehicles. A compatible droop stop kit is included with the SuperPro Upper Control Arm Kit.
